Charlene
Office Manager

Charlene’s fascination with teeth and wanting her own teeth to be exceptionally white sparked her interest in working in the field of dentistry. She is a 2008 graduate of the Academy of Dental Assisting in Lexington. She finds satisfaction from being around patients and seeing how happy they are when they leave the office.
Charlene is originally from Nicholasville, KY. She and her husband, Kyle, have a daughter, Olivia. In her leisure time, Charlene enjoys reading, shopping, going to movies, and spending time with friends and family. And she loves the art of dance. As a former dance team member and coach, she now enjoys watching her daughter dance at recitals.
Janet
Office Administrator
Janet has been an office administrator since the 1980s. She decided to work in the field of dentistry because she finds it interesting and enjoys working with patients.
Janet is a native of Lexington, KY. She has one son, one daughter, three grandchildren, and two “granddogs.” When she is not at work, she enjoys the outdoors, family pool parties, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Vikki
Dental Hygienist
“Working with a group of good, genuine people motivates me to come to work each day.”
Vikki has been a registered dental hygienist since 1995. She has a BA in Spanish and Communications at the University of Virginia and an Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene from Coastal Carolina College. She loves her job and enjoys listening to and helping her patients. She’s developed many wonderful relationships.
Vikki has three grown children. Her oldest child and only daughter, Jett, is a graphic designer and author in New Mexico. Her middle son, David, is an investment specialist with Merrill in Chicago. Her youngest son, Andrew, is a musician gifted in jazz and blues on the piano and also sax. During this pandemic, he is also working for Amazon in Lexington. When Vikki isn’t working, she enjoys Pilates, Hiking, Biking, Cooking, and Yard Work.
Denise
Dental Hygienist

Denise decided to become a registered dental hygienist while she was in high school and working for her family dentist. She attended the University of Kentucky and has worked as a hygienist since 1983.
Although Denise was born in Lousiville, KY, she considers Lexington her home. She loves the beautiful farmland, enjoys the change of seasons, and likes the fact that the city is neither too large nor too small.
Denise has two children, three grandchildren, and two standard poodles. When she’s not at work, she enjoys gardening, walking, and watching movies.
Ilene
Dental Hygienist
“The team I work with at Kentucky Dental Group motivates me to come to work each day. We do not sell dentistry. We treat the individual and treat each patient with compassion and quality care.”
Ilene was accepted into nursing school and dental hygiene school at the same time. She pursued dental hygiene because she thought it would be more conducive to part-time work and being a mom. In 1996, she graduated from University of Kentucky/LCC as a dental hygienist. What she enjoys most about dentistry is developing a long-term relationship with patients and helping them become very aware of how the quality of their dental health affects their total well-being.
Although Ilene currently lives in Lexington, she was born and raised in Louisville. She and her husband, Scott have two dogs, three children, and two grandchildren. When she is not in the office, Ilene is a certified Pilates instructor. She also enjoys throwing clay on a pottery wheel to handcraft jewelry, gardening, traveling, listening to music, spending time with her family, and working on home projects with her husband.
Caitlin
Dental Hygienist

When Caitlin was a young girl, she loved going to see the dentist and felt inspired by her hygienist. She looks forward to coming to work each day and seeing the patients she’s formed such incredible bonds with. She also loves spending time with her co-workers who make each day pleasant.
Caitlin has a keen interest in the development of dental technology, with an eye toward improving ergonomics for the clinicians and treatment more efficient, comfortable, effective for patients.
She and her husband, Matt, have three cats. In her free time she plays flute, loves to read, and do home improvement projects.
Miranda
Dental Assistant

Miranda decided to work in the field of dentistry because she loves to smile and loves being able to help people have a smile they love. Originally from Richmond, KY, Miranda is a graduate of Fifield School of Dental Assisting in Richmond. She has been a dental assistant since 2012. As a dental assistant, Miranda finds it satisfying to talk with patients and build a relationship with them.
Miranda and her husband enjoy being very involved parents with their son, Braxton, and daughter, Millie. And they enjoy watching their children play sports. She also enjoys being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and spoiling the family Dalmatian, Lillie.
Lainey
Dental Assistant
Lainey is a Lexington native. She attended Dr. Burton’s dental assistant program and has been a dental assistant since 2001. She particularly enjoys seeing people feel better about their smile. Lainey is married and has two sons, two dogs, and a cat. She enjoys boating during her leisure time.
