“I love being able to connect with patients and make an improvement in their lives, whether changing a smile or relieving pain. Dentistry allows me to see patients on a regular basis and get to know them well. While some patients fear the dentist, I enjoy making a dental visit as enjoyable as possible.”
– Dr. John Weaver
Dr. Weaver is a Lexington native. He loves the city for its green trees, beautiful horse farms, great local dining, and the many activities it offers. He grew up hiking in the Red River Gorge, photographing horses at Keeneland, and cheering on the Wildcats in sports.
Dr. Weaver’s family exposed him to medicine, so he long wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. After shadowing in both medicine and dentistry, he had no doubts that dentistry was the right path to take. He received his DMD degree from University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr. Weaver enjoys the different disciplines that dentistry requires—as one of his professors described it—equal parts doctor, engineer, and artist.
Working with Kentucky Dental Group is especially enjoyable for Dr. Weaver. He says, “It’s the best dental team in the state. I get to work alongside two dentists who have a wealth of experience in dentistry and a staff that loves working together to provide the best care we can.”
