Dr. Armentrout is known for his gentle touch and mild disposition. Originally from West Virginia, he came to Kentucky to pursue his undergraduate degree. Prior to obtaining his dental degree, he was a certified dental technician and taught in the Dental Technology Program at the Lexington Community College.
In 1982, he graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. After achieving his DMD degree, he entered private practice and in 1984, he accepted a faculty position in the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry as an associate professor. His appointments were in the Department of Prosthodontics and the Department of Oral Health Practice. His responsibilities included managing patient care in the student clinic, as well as instruction in all phases of general dentistry. Dr. Armentrout excels in denture prosthodontics and has trained most of Lexington’s dentists in the techniques required to produce high-quality dentures that look natural. In 2007, Dr. Armentrout decided to apply his skills and knowledge in private practice, and he began practicing with Dr. Jim Hill.
